Owner Tony is very friendly and always ready to help or answer any questions.
Ensuite units have very noisy fan that is connected to light switch and because units have very thin walls, hard to sleep when neighbour forgets to switch light off.

The staff are very friendly. The kitchen facilities are handy. The other guests are generally nice. The location is close to the Airport Shuttle Service and in walking distance to the main shopping area of hobart. It is a little further away from everything compared to some other hostels.
There is no air-conditioning, both times I have been in Hobart there was an unexpected heat wave so the room was hot. However, in more temperate weather the rooms would be cozy. The rooms facing the road are very noisy, from the road traffic, and the constant beeping of the pedestrian signals. Sometimes there are noisy people on the street also. However, there was little interior noise from guests when I stayed there.

Friendly and relaxed place. A great price for inner city accommodation. Fantastic value room with en suite.
At the price, it was really good so any small niggles like the gas not working until the manager arrived are not really that critical. My friend did have a problem with some other guests who were noisy and kept her awake at night, and because the manager was not around, she had to deal with asking them to be quiet herself.
